The Shelby County Trustee, in conjunction with the Chancery Court Clerk's Office, holds online tax sales throughout the year to sell property for the payment of unpaid taxes.
Delinquent properties are listed on the Zeus Auction website and appear in a "Notice of Tax Sale" listing in the local publication the Daily News. This listing includes parcel number, names of all owners, amount due, and a brief description, along with the time and location of the tax sale. In addition to the listing, a notice of the tax sale is sent by certified mail to the last known address of the present owner.
Tax sales are conducted online via Zeus Auction only.
For a listing of properties to be sold, please refer to the Tax Sale Schedule. Please be advised that parcels are removed from the Tax Sale Schedule as payments are submitted to the Trustee.
To search for a specific property, the Search Taxes option now displays the tax sale number and date.
***Employees or relatives of employees of the Shelby County Trustee's Office are not eligible to bid on properties in tax sale.***
